R&D and technology development

Our R&D approach
Whatever field a problem comes from, we address it with the same seven-stage approach. The stages are a working discipline rather than a strict sequence: when field findings require it we return to an earlier stage, and not every project is at the same level of maturity.
- 1
Need
- 2
Research
- 3
Technology Development
- 4

- 5

This approach, applied in the field
Three dated projects show the same way of working: recognising a need early, connecting the components into a working system and measuring the result in the field. The frames are from the period archive.

Vakkorama / V2K — night view · The Vakko group's Vakkorama / V2K brand, XLight application area — Ankara, archive, 2005
Beymen Club — panel detail, daytime · Beymen Club campaign in the XLight application area — Ankara, archive XLight — urban communication, Ankara
2002–2006archive
Campaigns of different brands in the same application area: Vakkorama / V2K with night lighting, Beymen Club in panel detail. The urban surface was treated as a communication space with design, lighting and measurement.

Adana command and control centre — archive, 2007 Adana — integrated city systems
2006–2008archive
The installation that combined panels, cameras, image analysis and a control centre in one infrastructure: contract 2006, final acceptance 2007. The wide frame shows the command centre, the detail frame the management panel.

Sunflower application field — archive, June 2013 XSense — field applications, Çukurova
2013–2014archive
Control-group comparison of seed stimulation on farmers' fields, recorded in Chamber of Agriculture letters and university analyses. Sowing and measurement records from the 2013–2014 field applications.
What can we make possible together?
Write to us to develop a solution to a problem in your organisation, to take your idea forward together, to bring technology into your product or to carry suitable solutions to new markets. No technical specification is needed to start; in the first meeting we clarify the need together.
