R&D is not a department; it is how we work.
Every project starts with a need defined in the field and follows the same seven-stage approach. The stages are a method, not a rigid sequence: when field findings require it, we go back to the prototype or to research. Not every project is at the same maturity, and we say so clearly. This approach lets us address problems in different fields with a shared discipline; in every field we work together with that field's experts and institutions.
Need
We define a problem that exists in the field and has a measurable economic cost.

- Exit criterion
- the problem's cost and owner are written down.
- In image processing
- outdoor advertising that could not be measured (Ankara, 2002).
- In XSense
- drought, dependence on imported oilseed, rising input costs.
Research
We study the literature, existing solutions and why they fall short.

- Exit criterion
- limits of current solutions documented.
- In XSense
- review of priming, pelleting and coating methods.
Technology Development
We design the solution with our own engineering team.

- Exit criterion
- working principle defined, IP approach set.
- In image processing
- vehicle-counting, plate and make-model recognition software.
- In XSense
- the embryo and endosperm stimulation principle.
Prototype
We build a working first version and test it under controlled conditions.

- Exit criterion
- repeatable result.
- In XSense
- optimum dose determination.
Validation / Field
We validate the technology with tests, comparisons and acceptance criteria that fit the use case, under independent institutional supervision wherever possible.

- Exit criterion
- institutional report, acceptance record or control-group data.
- In image processing
- acceptance of the Adana installation against the specification clauses (final acceptance 18 Dec 2007).
- In XSense
- control-group sowing under Çukurova University supervision; Seyhan Chamber of Agriculture observation report (2014).
Productization
We turn the technology into a product with application conditions, a user guide and a repeatable process.

- Exit criterion
- application protocol written, trademark protection initiated.
- In XSense
- pre-, at- and post-sowing protocol; 2013 trademark application.
Scaling
We extend the product through partners, licensee manufacturers, chambers and distribution channels.

- Exit criterion
- partnership model defined.
- In image processing
- sale of security software, including its source code, to a multinational camera manufacturer and delivery as embedded systems; the manufacturer's name and brand cannot be disclosed under the terms of the contract.
- In XSense
- application on chamber-affiliated farmers' fields (2013–2014); current scaling status on the Partnership page.
We keep developing
Our R&D work continues in chemistry, health and dietary supplements. We do not share details of unfinished work at this stage; it will appear on this page as development and validation are completed. Our named work in education is MedExem (in development and validation).
Our principle
We never present a technology as a product before it has passed field validation. We share institutional trials and field results together with the institution, date and conditions under which they were measured.
What can we make possible together?
Write to us to develop a solution to a problem in your organisation, to take your idea forward together, to bring technology into your product or to carry suitable solutions to new markets. No technical specification is needed to start; in the first meeting we clarify the need together.
